When Life Gives You Lemons

{Dress Buffalo Exchange, Heels JCpenny, Hat and accessories Forever 21} Moving forward from the bad luck I had last week is something that I am slowly learning to get over.  From last week’s dreadful accounting test to getting sick, and the cherry on top: getting my car towed away in the mix of other things.  I learned to look at situations from a different perspective.  Things happen for a reason and even though we try to live life perfectly things will happen that are out of our control.  If we didn’t encounter problems then life would not be interesting.  In this city that I love I have to learn to grow tough, specially being a Mexican woman.  Bring on the lemons and salt because I need to make Margaritas. This dress was a perfect representation of how i was thinking of my situations.  When life gets tough bring on your best outfit forward because even though life is not going your way.  A great outfit will boost confidence and bring on a smile. Journey of a Dress

{Tj Maxx  crop Top, Windsor Leather Jacket, Peter Pilotto for Target skirt, Olsenboye Strappy heels, Ray ban glasses, Vintage purse, Mar Jacobs watch} The Journey of a designer specially Diane Von Fursteberg Story is one to really look out for.  She was able to work with the times and give woman freedom with the rap dress.  Specially during the 70’s when woman were fighting for equal rights.  Her wrap dress itself gave women the freedom to wear what they desired and it was accessible, while still being fashion forward.  Having the opportunity to witness all these dresses was something eye opening. I wanted to wear an outfit that went with the patterns Miss Furstenberg has created over the years and my skirt was a perfect representation of those dress. I hope you all enjoy your weekend, xoxo Charms of Penny

The Happiest Place on Earth

The magic of Disney filled my weekend.  This is a place where everyone’s inner child comes out and I am no exception of this expression.  Just thinking about this past weekend and the amount of sugar I consumed gets me hyper all over again. How is that a grown woman still gets excited to see Minnie Mouse? I should not even be questioning this because the magic of Disney never leaves anybody’s soul. Thank you so much for stopping by and remember,  make sure to leave a lovely comment XOXO, Charms of Penny To go with the theme of Disney and fairy tales I wore: {Tj Maxx sunflower skirt, Ay Que Vintage! ( small shop in Long Beach) shirt, Forever 21 sunnies and sandals, and the Minnie Mouse trademark Ears}

Dreaming In Pink

{Forever 21 sunglasses and dress, Jeffrey Campbell heels, Ivanka Trump purse} I have a love hate relationship with the color pink.  Its one of those things that I hate to admit that I love.  The color is to darn chic to avoid.  Since it is spring I think that this color is more appropriate than ever.  It always reminds me of a cute princess.  As far as the heels, I know I can not keep my eyes of them as well.  They are my go to heels they always bring that extra bang or pop to my outfit.  It’s hard to believe that these heels are the most comfortable heels that I have in my closet.  It is like I am walking on cotton candy.  I can even have a Carrie moment from Sex and the City and run across town with these heels.  Ill share a secret my Jeffrey Campbell heels were only five bucks, these shoes were my hallelujah moment…they were basically free. I guess I decided to ignore the weather man and …
