Bainbridge Island adventure

Zara: Coat Vince Camuto: boots Levis: Jeans  Loft: Sweater Our first day in Seattle we decided to visit the best little island my eyes have seen, Bainbridge.  Even though the amount of layers we wore couldn’t keep us warm, the adventure we had that day is one for the books.  We started our morning by hitting General Porpoise We started our morning by hitting General Porpoise Coffee and lets just say LA coffee shops and donuts have nothing on Seattle.  To this day I can still taste the Chocolate marshmallow donut and latte. Every bite was better than the last, honestly, I got a little sad when I gobbled my donut within a minute.  (I need to learn how to eat slow) See now I am craving one, but I have to stick to this daing healthy lifestyle. On to the day… We went to Ferrie from Seattle to Bainbridge! I felt like a child seeing the world for the very first time.  It was beautiful! The scenery of the entire city is unbelievable, I can see why they call this city Emerald City. …

Shimmering to a New Year

Today is the beginning of a new year for me and my little Charms of Penny.  One of my many goals is to continue writing on my blog, the rest of my goals as my father has taught me I will keep them to myself and work on them rather than discuss them.  2016 brought me and taught me many life lessons I will forever take in my heart. It has taught me to be tougher (hence the boots) stronger, it has motivated me to continue to push for my dreams as a pursue to the life I choose to live, BUT most importantly it brought light to my heart again. 2016 I say goodbye to you and thank you for bringing me and teaching me those needed life lessons. Rather than not discussing the elephant in the room, I will briefly say, I had to let go of that part of my life not with anger nor frustration, but acceptance and gratefulness it was a repeated cycle that passed its course.  I am shedding the expectations I thought I …

Fall for Boots

It is the first day of fall! It is crazy how quickly time flies.  I can not say I was waiting for this season to start because I feel like this summer I was not able to enjoy it as much as I wanted to.  Believe me I will slowly start transitioning to fall appropriate weather.  (Talk to the LA weather guru because it has been extremely hot for the last couple of weeks) A way in which I am transitioning to Fall clothing is by dusting off my good ol’ boots and sporting them with anything from shorts, dresses, or skirts.  Like the lovely number you see above.  I got this from an amazing event in Down Town La called A Current Affair, which only happens twice a year once in April and the next In September 26 (this weekend).  I can not wait to see what is in store this time around.  They have so many things it is Vintage Nirvana.  It’s A Current Affair is selling tickets online hope you LA peeps …

Girly Dress

It’s funny to think how fast time flies and how changes occur so suddenly.  We are now getting close to hitting June, it’s the half way point of this year!  I looked back on the goals I had set for 2015, and so far I haven’t accomplished half of them.  One of the goals I did accomplish was walking for my graduation and receiving my AA degree. This weekend was my graduation from Cerritos College I received my AA degree in Business Administration.  It was the boost I needed to push myself harder in the University I am currently attending; CSULA, I am working on receiving my bachelors degree in Finance with a minor in Economics, If all goes well I will be the class of 2017.  I do dare to dream and I do dare to make these dreams become a reality. So many changes have happened this year from family getting bigger(my cousin is having a baby in June) to me cutting my hair( I know its not as big as a baby, …

The Foggy Road

There is something about the fog that makes its surroundings so peculiar.  The morning of this shoot reminded me of the perfect setting for an Edgar Allan Poe story mysterious, but alluring at the same time.  I am so glad I had my yellow coat, with out I think I would blend in with the sea of haze.

Apple Picking

To kick of fall (I know I am fashionably late to the party) I wanted to embrace the changing weather by heading with my Love to Los Rios Rancho for some good ol’ apple picking.  Let me start by saying yes it is awesome to pick apples; some of my coworkers think it’s lame, but I pay no attention to the little people.  I love that I am able to get out of the city away from the routine and just enjoy the beautiful weather outside.  All the red, oranges, and yellow gorgeous colors that are starting to show paint a perfect representation of a Monet  painting.  The cherry on top of this mini road trip was having a caramel apple. I am not going to lie this will probably top my list of favorite dessert.  Last year I had this glorious dessert and this year it did not disappoint, it was actually even better.  I think it has to do with my strict meal plan, that I do through out the week.  I don’t even mind that I …

Dreaming In Pink

{Forever 21 sunglasses and dress, Jeffrey Campbell heels, Ivanka Trump purse} I have a love hate relationship with the color pink.  Its one of those things that I hate to admit that I love.  The color is to darn chic to avoid.  Since it is spring I think that this color is more appropriate than ever.  It always reminds me of a cute princess.  As far as the heels, I know I can not keep my eyes of them as well.  They are my go to heels they always bring that extra bang or pop to my outfit.  It’s hard to believe that these heels are the most comfortable heels that I have in my closet.  It is like I am walking on cotton candy.  I can even have a Carrie moment from Sex and the City and run across town with these heels.  Ill share a secret my Jeffrey Campbell heels were only five bucks, these shoes were my hallelujah moment…they were basically free. I guess I decided to ignore the weather man and …
