To kick of fall (I know I am fashionably late to the party) I wanted to embrace the changing weather by heading with my Love to Los Rios Rancho for some good ol’ apple picking.  Let me start by saying yes it is awesome to pick apples; some of my coworkers think it’s lame, but I pay no attention to the little people.  I love that I am able to get out of the city away from the routine and just enjoy the beautiful weather outside.  All the red, oranges, and yellow gorgeous colors that are starting to show paint a perfect representation of a Monet  painting.  The cherry on top of this mini road trip was having a caramel apple. I am not going to lie this will probably top my list of favorite dessert.  Last year I had this glorious dessert and this year it did not disappoint, it was actually even better.  I think it has to do with my strict meal plan, that I do through out the week.  I don’t even mind that I end up looking like Chewbacca because it is very messy to eat.

My challenge for the week is to take these delicious apples and make the family an apple pie.  I’ll keep you guys posted.  Big Hugs and thank you for stopping by
