Fall for Boots
It is the first day of fall! It is crazy how quickly time flies. I can not say I was waiting for this season to start because I feel like this summer I was not able to enjoy it as much as I wanted to. Believe me I will slowly start transitioning to fall appropriate weather. (Talk to the LA weather guru because it has been extremely hot for the last couple of weeks) A way in which I am transitioning to Fall clothing is by dusting off my good ol’ boots and sporting them with anything from shorts, dresses, or skirts. Like the lovely number you see above. I got this from an amazing event in Down Town La called A Current Affair, which only happens twice a year once in April and the next In September 26 (this weekend). I know we are taught to believe that summer is “officially” over after Labor Day, but I am a very technical person sooo…summer isn’t officially over till September 22. I think I am just in denial that summer fun is a thing of the past. Besides, in LA we are currently experiencing a crazy heat wave. You know where I’ll be this weekend! The beach! Soaking up the sun. Pink Blazer: ZARA ::: Parrot Pattern Shorts: Forever 21 ::: There’s nothing better than having that piece of clothing that automatically makes you feel that much more cooler. This blazer my friends is that item that I am taking about. Yes its summer, which means layers are out of the question. I mean, thats just, like, the rules of feminism!(I had to call out my Mean Girl Movie) but the smooth woven fabric of the blazer keeps the layers very thin perfect for those summer days. It is very easy to wear specially when those unpredictable weather changes in So Cal. From sunny hot days to in this case rainy hot day. {BACKGROUND INFO} I thanked my lucky Stars that I wore this blazer because right after these shots were done it started to pour. Instead of complaining we; my photographer boyfriend and I, decided to make the most of it and take a walk in the rain. I wish I could say my toes stayed dried on this walk….so romantic ❤

Denim Boho Flare
Flare Daisy Pants: Forever 21 Levis Denim Top, but similar in Mango I am a true bohemian at heart. With summer being here that inner chic nomad comes out even more than usual. Levis has to perfect mix of minimalism and boho, like the top I am wearing on the photos, I had to pair it with my ever so cool flare pants. Which I may say feel kinda like yoga pants, they are so comfy. Bring on the festivals, long summer nights, and beach days! Jumper is Vintage Heels:Steve Madden Stecy Heels Backpack bought at TJ Maxx similar here: Leather Buckle Zipper Backpack As a Fashion Blogger I never thought it would be so hard to photograph in public locations. This shoot by far was one of the hardest shoots. Maybe that’s what I get for believing that a crowd of fans from the Pasadena Music Festival would not try to photobomb my photos. Silly me! This little jumper has become one of my favorite pieces of clothing. Just as it looks it is very comfortable to wear I can not get enough on how spacious it is, so you know I let it all hang out and ate like there’s no tomorrow. The only downside was the heels! I love them, but they are so darn uncomfortable. It is okay though I forgive them, because I will be rocking them over and over again. (Can you say Love Hate Relationship?) H & M- Camel Shorts Forever 21-Long Line High Slit Racerback top Blue Fringe Heels Statement Necklace Summer is finally here! What a better way to kick the season going then by wearing these awesome and May I add camel shorts. They are so comfortable I am even considering wearing them as a gym outfit. Heck no! I am only joking. I wanted to try something new by incorporating this new trending top by Forever 21. It not something I would usually wear, but since it is summer I was feeling a bit more daring than usual. Just to give it that extra pop, I wore my blue fringe heels. They give my outfit that extra wow factor. By the way guys excuse my absence as you can see there is a NEW LAYOUT for Charms Of Penny. I hope you guys like it!!! Orange You Glad ?
Jogger Jeans, Kurt Geiger Heels, Top was bought at A Current Affair (a massive vintage sale in a warehouse in Down Town LA) There is something about man inspired outfits that makes me feel so liberated. I am not saying that dressing like a man makes me feel powerful. It is the action of not having to wear tight dresses and or revealing clothing to feel that much more confident. We are so lucky to be able to rock both male and female clothing with a kick ass attitude.
Love Affair with Lace
The word is out! Or has it been that obvious? My love for lace dresses continues. Is it trending in fashion right now? I don’t know and frankly I don’t care. Lately as you saw on the post before I’ve grown obsessed with lace and cute vintage style dresses. I am growing dangerously close to kinda sounding like a broken record when I say, this type of dresses are so chic to style. It makes me feel so comfortable and lady-like at the same time. Gents, that is not a bad combination. Currently I am looking for inspiration. I feel that I’ve grown detached to so many things that represented me. Now that summer is near and I will have a short break (2 weeks of school) I can focus on bringing to light my adventorous and free side. I will keep you posted on my goals for the summer.
