Greaser in Disguise

Sam Edelman: Over the Knee Boots With spring finally being here! I know it’s crazy! I am slowly and I mean sllooowwlllyy cleaning up my closet to get me ready for spring! With the lighter temperature dam right I still get away with wearing my fav Armani Exchange leather jacket and Sam Edelman over the knee boots.  I don’t know what it is, but something about these two items always makes a regular outfit feel like it is all of a sudden fashion forward with a bit of a bad ass attitude.  I mean how can I not these boots are made for strutting and that’s what I’m going to do!

Lucky 27

Blue Jumpsuit Lulus Heels: Steve Madden Earings Black You guys I am 27! I say this with happiness in my soul and excitement in the air, welcoming this new chapter in life! Just like a child, I get very excited I kinda see it as a national holiday! Seriously,  if I could talk to the homies to do the necessary paperwork to make it official I would, but for now, I will keep this “holiday” with my family and friends. Just like a child, I get very excited I kinda see it as a national holiday! Seriously,  if I could talk to the homies to do the necessary paperwork to make it official I would, but for now, I will keep this “holiday” with my family and friends. I love the celebration! from the gold balloons to the bedazzling confetti, I can’t forget about the delicious cake. At 27 I have no idea what is my favorite type of cake is, maybe marble cheesecake..or maybe I need to dedicate an afternoon to cake testing… since I am in the …

Bainbridge Island adventure

Zara: Coat Vince Camuto: boots Levis: Jeans  Loft: Sweater Our first day in Seattle we decided to visit the best little island my eyes have seen, Bainbridge.  Even though the amount of layers we wore couldn’t keep us warm, the adventure we had that day is one for the books.  We started our morning by hitting General Porpoise We started our morning by hitting General Porpoise Coffee and lets just say LA coffee shops and donuts have nothing on Seattle.  To this day I can still taste the Chocolate marshmallow donut and latte. Every bite was better than the last, honestly, I got a little sad when I gobbled my donut within a minute.  (I need to learn how to eat slow) See now I am craving one, but I have to stick to this daing healthy lifestyle. On to the day… We went to Ferrie from Seattle to Bainbridge! I felt like a child seeing the world for the very first time.  It was beautiful! The scenery of the entire city is unbelievable, I can see why they call this city Emerald City. …

Shimmering to a New Year

Today is the beginning of a new year for me and my little Charms of Penny.  One of my many goals is to continue writing on my blog, the rest of my goals as my father has taught me I will keep them to myself and work on them rather than discuss them.  2016 brought me and taught me many life lessons I will forever take in my heart. It has taught me to be tougher (hence the boots) stronger, it has motivated me to continue to push for my dreams as a pursue to the life I choose to live, BUT most importantly it brought light to my heart again. 2016 I say goodbye to you and thank you for bringing me and teaching me those needed life lessons. Rather than not discussing the elephant in the room, I will briefly say, I had to let go of that part of my life not with anger nor frustration, but acceptance and gratefulness it was a repeated cycle that passed its course.  I am shedding the expectations I thought I …

Head in the Clouds

ZARA: Maxi Dress It’s been such a long time my friends! Balance is one of the things I want to work on this coming year.  My goal is to keep you updated as much as possible with my wacky adventures.  I have missed being able to share what I have been up to, but with starting my photography business as well as maintaining my 8-5 job, and being a full time student it has kept me extremely busy.  No matter how extreme my schedule gets, I will not let go of my Charms of Penny it is a part of me. The location of the shoot above is a location that is often overlooked in DTLA.  I love how it is in the middle of it all so close to Pasadena, DTLA, and the university I attend.  The view of this nature spot is magnificent.  I can even saw the view is much better than in Griffith Park, I say this because the view of my little treasure city is so close.  From where I took …

Blue Jean Girl

Jeans::Levis    Heels::Just Fab What is easier to style than the old jeans and white shirt combo? This is the first time I ever buy boyfriend jeans and let me tell you these jeans by Levis do not disappoint at all.  They are so comfortable I can wear them forever.  The closest thing to forever that I can do is wear them at least once a week.  I know that it is a big fashion no-no; frankly my dear I don’t give a dam.  A way to keep things interesting with my outfit is ofcourse to have popping accessories.  It keeps the go to outfit more interesting.  I will enjoy wearing these type of outfits for the time being since in Cali the summer heat is still fighting strong! I wanted to share with you guys something very close to my heart.  You probably have noticed my small absences from the blog.  The reason for this is that I am focusing a lot more on my photography business that I am starting up Lily Tapia …

Summer Songs

Gladiator Sandals: Steve Madden //Zara off-Shoulder Printed Dress// Summer is almost over.  I know we are taught to believe that summer is “officially” over after Labor Day, but I am a very technical person sooo…summer isn’t officially over till September 22.  I think I am just in denial that summer fun is a thing of the past.  Besides, in LA we are currently experiencing a crazy heat wave.  You know where I’ll be this weekend! The beach! Soaking up the sun.  I hope you all enjoy your weekend.

Pastel Confetti

Dress: State Pleated Overlay Dress   Pink Sandals similar here: Ugg I wanted to start preparing myself and say catch you later summer by wearing this gorgeous dress.  This dress automatically makes me feel like I am traveling in Europe enjoying a gelato and walking around the Trevi Fountain.  I’m the kind of person who is a summer junkie I love  being able to enjoy the sun’s rays, while I go to the beach or even as I head out to PCH for a scenic drive.  Don’t get me wrong I am looking forward for fall, but can I just have a couple of days more to enjoy summer with all its might?  I wore this 1.State dress that I’m currently obsessed with- I love the pastel rainbow colors and how the pleats on the the dress are so breezy. They kinda feel like a 1920’s silk dress.  I hope you all enjoy the last days of summer to there fullest!!!

Think Pink

Pink Blazer: ZARA ::: Parrot Pattern Shorts: Forever 21  ::: There’s nothing better than having that piece of clothing that automatically makes you feel that much more cooler. This blazer my friends is that item that I am taking about. Yes its summer, which means layers are out of the question. I mean, thats just, like, the rules of feminism!(I had to call out my Mean Girl Movie) but the smooth woven fabric of the blazer keeps the layers very thin perfect for those summer days.  It is very easy to wear specially when those unpredictable weather changes in So Cal.  From sunny hot days to in this case rainy hot day. {BACKGROUND INFO}  I thanked my lucky Stars that I wore this blazer because right after these shots were done it started to pour. Instead of complaining we; my photographer boyfriend and I, decided to make the most of it and take a walk in the rain.  I wish I could say my toes stayed dried on this walk….so romantic ❤
