Bainbridge Island adventure

Zara: Coat Vince Camuto: boots Levis: Jeans  Loft: Sweater Our first day in Seattle we decided to visit the best little island my eyes have seen, Bainbridge.  Even though the amount of layers we wore couldn’t keep us warm, the adventure we had that day is one for the books.  We started our morning by hitting General Porpoise We started our morning by hitting General Porpoise Coffee and lets just say LA coffee shops and donuts have nothing on Seattle.  To this day I can still taste the Chocolate marshmallow donut and latte. It is the last days of winter and I was feeling a little men’s wear vibe going on, while wearing my pant suit and plaid coat.  I wanted to give my outfit a tough look by adding my Jeffrey Campbell boots, which have become my favorite.  I have never seen a pair of boots more interesting than this bad boys.  I love how the straps wrap around the shoe and that they are a blue hue, it is the cherry on top.  I had to keep the colors close to each other so that my coat will pop out.  This coat is so Inpesctor Gadget meets Paul Bunyan in a concert. ha! The Foggy Road

     There is something about the fog that makes its surroundings so peculiar.  The morning of this shoot reminded me of the perfect setting for an Edgar Allan Poe story mysterious, but alluring at the same time.  I am so glad I had my yellow coat, with out I think I would blend in with the sea of haze.

Have you ever had an item of clothing that you’ve had for long time and just can’t seem to let go? Thats what I’m going through more than ever now.  I call it deniably-hoarding. I see all my items of clothing as a treasure, like a hunter catching its “prize” I too hang my clothing in a specific way: color coordinating, texture season.  All my items have been bought from the local Forever 21 to small unknown boutiques, and my favorite Thrift stores.  Its my world, at the end I want to be able to say “I’ve Hoarded the World.”  Each single item of clothing in this outfit is 3 or more years old and my gorgeous Oxfords are the first big fashion brand that I have owned…they call him Marc Jacobs.

  {TJ Maxx Dress, Steve Madden Gladiator Sandals, Forever 21 hat and accessories, Buffalo Exchange Bag} The word spontaneous accelerates my blood.   That and the word trip.  This past weekend my boyfriend and I decided to visit our love nest.  It is a place that was currently hit with tragedy and it saddened our heart that Santa Barbara was struck with such travesty.  It is a place that is filled with peacefulness and the news did not hit us until we were already driving to visit our “home” We tried not to think of what had occurred on the past days and our prayers do go out to the families of the victims. Everything about this trip was spontaneous.  From deciding to take our dear Penny for the first time on our small road trip to riding on the coast of Santa Barbara with Penny inside the basket.  I loved everything about it and this day will be marked in my heart forever.
