The word spontaneous accelerates my blood.   That and the word trip.  This past weekend my boyfriend and I decided to visit our love nest.  It is a place that was currently hit with tragedy and it saddened our heart that Santa Barbara was struck with such travesty.  It is a place that is filled with peacefulness and the news did not hit us until we were already driving to visit our “home” We tried not to think of what had occurred on the past days and our prayers do go out to the families of the victims.

Everything about this trip was spontaneous.  From deciding to take our dear Penny for the first time on our small road trip to riding on the coast of Santa Barbara with Penny inside the basket.  I loved everything about it and this day will be marked in my heart forever.
