Orange You Glad ?

Jogger Jeans, Kurt Geiger Heels, Top was bought at A Current Affair (a massive vintage sale in a warehouse in Down Town LA) There is something about man inspired outfits that makes me feel so liberated.  I am not saying that dressing like a man makes me feel powerful.  It is the action of not having to wear tight dresses and or revealing clothing to feel that much more confident.  We are so lucky to be able to rock both male and female clothing with a kick ass attitude.

WoMan’s World

It is the last days of winter and I was feeling a little men’s wear vibe going on, while wearing my pant suit and plaid coat.  I wanted to give my outfit a tough look by adding my Jeffrey Campbell boots, which have become my favorite.  I have never seen a pair of boots more interesting than this bad boys.  I love how the straps wrap around the shoe and that they are a blue hue, it is the cherry on top.  I had to keep the colors close to each other so that my coat will pop out.  This coat is so Inpesctor Gadget meets Paul Bunyan in a concert. ha! You can say this is my 2015 outfit giving a kind farewell to winter with a bang of Kool Aid. The Art District in LA is one of those places that I have had on my list of places I want to visit.  It is amazing spot in LA filled colors and different ideas.   It inspired me even more to grab one of my …

Spontaneous is my Middle Name

{TJ Maxx Dress, Steve Madden Gladiator Sandals, Forever 21 hat and accessories, Buffalo Exchange Bag} The word spontaneous accelerates my blood.   That and the word trip.  This past weekend my boyfriend and I decided to visit our love nest.  It is a place that was currently hit with tragedy and it saddened our heart that Santa Barbara was struck with such travesty.  It is a place that is filled with peacefulness and the news did not hit us until we were already driving to visit our “home” We tried not to think of what had occurred on the past days and our prayers do go out to the families of the victims. Everything about this trip was spontaneous.  From deciding to take our dear Penny for the first time on our small road trip to riding on the coast of Santa Barbara with Penny inside the basket.  I loved everything about it and this day will be marked in my heart forever.

Sunset with Lace

{American Apparel dress, heels purchased in Amazon, Ivanka Trump purse, Marc Jacobs watch, Thrift Store accessories} Hello everyone, Once again I find myself having a small hiatus from my blog and it is something that breaks my heart.  From the end of another school year to a daily 8 to 5 job.  I find myself struggling with finding time to do what I love to do.  I managed to find the time I needed and enjoy the three day weekend we just had.  I love enjoying the weekends as much as possible and stay away from sitting down, which is what I do at my office job.  The outfit that I wore was different from the rest.  I wanted to feel extra fancy this day so I put the dress that always makes me feel so lady like and ended with my dear Penny Lane by my side and witness the beautiful sunset.

Viva Mexico

{Thrift Store white ruffled shirt, High rise shorts from TJ Maxx, Accesories Forever21 and Buffalo Exchange, Shoes Tj Maxx} Today we celebrate Cinco de Mayo, it is a celebration that is very misunderstood.  it is not time to drink up and to Mexican’s in Mexico it is not the true day celebrate the day of Mexico’s independence from France.  Mexico’s Independence is on September 16, Cinco de Mayo is the first battle Mexico won against France. I love my culture and very proud of where I was born.  I love the stories of Pancho Villa and knowing that Frida Kahlo shares my heritage is something that I am very proud of.  My outfit is a small glimpse of Frida Kahlo’s fashion, she was a true inspiration.  The bright colors, the ethnic patterns, and hair style is something I wanted to focus on I wanted it to look very similar to Frida Kahlo.

Romanticism in The Getty

Forever 21 dress/ Vintage sunglasses and earrings/Urban Outfitters bag/Zigi Girl sandals A challenge that I face in these new transition of my life is finding inspirations from the simplest pose to one of the most important things: locations.  I remembered that when I was younger I enjoyed going to different art museums  and witnessing with my own eyes the beautiful art pieces that famous painters had left behind as a memory of who they were and what they contributed to their life. My outfit was inspiration to a mix from the 70s and a greek goddess.  I knew that the location that I was heading to this weekend had gorgeous garden. My dress was a representation of one of my favorite parts of The Getty Museum, so i tried my best to find in my closet a dress that matched the garden.  I don’t know what it was about this weekend, maybe it was the weather or the time change, but the beauty of this location was picture perfect.

Oscars Night

Fashions night out, is the time of the year that I look forward to.  This event has turned into a tradition for both my boyfriend and I.  I love sitting at home with my comfy clothes and watching all the beautiful dresses that the actresses will be wearing that evening.  I thought I would show you a couple of things my boyfriend and I created just to make that night a bit more glamorous for us. Nachos is an appetizer that my boyfriend had been craving for weeks.  I took this night as an opportunity to make these cheesy food. To make the Nachos: Refried beans Grilled Chicken Grilled Bell Peppers with Onions Nacho Cheese Reduced fat tortilla chips For dessert delicious peach flavored Stella Rosa and Girl Scout cookies.  Just to make it a little bit more cute we added cut lemons and strawberries.  This ended the night with a bang!
