Today we celebrate Cinco de Mayo, it is a celebration that is very misunderstood. it is not time to drink up and to Mexican’s in Mexico it is not the true day celebrate the day of Mexico’s independence from France. Mexico’s Independence is on September 16, Cinco de Mayo is the first battle Mexico won against France.
I love my culture and very proud of where I was born. I love the stories of Pancho Villa and knowing that Frida Kahlo shares my heritage is something that I am very proud of. My outfit is a small glimpse of Frida Kahlo’s fashion, she was a true inspiration. The bright colors, the ethnic patterns, and hair style is something I wanted to focus on I wanted it to look very similar to Frida Kahlo.
Beautiful pictures! Love your hair accessories.
Thank you very much. They were actually flower pieces that I found last minute at my home.
