Think Pink

Pink Blazer: ZARA ::: Parrot Pattern Shorts: Forever 21  ::: There’s nothing better than having that piece of clothing that automatically makes you feel that much more cooler. This blazer my friends is that item that I am taking about. Yes its summer, which means layers are out of the question. I mean, thats just, like, the rules of feminism!(I had to call out my Mean Girl Movie) but the smooth woven fabric of the blazer keeps the layers very thin perfect for those summer days.  It is very easy to wear specially when those unpredictable weather changes in So Cal.  From sunny hot days to in this case rainy hot day. {BACKGROUND INFO}  I thanked my lucky Stars that I wore this blazer because right after these shots were done it started to pour. Instead of complaining we; my photographer boyfriend and I, decided to make the most of it and take a walk in the rain.  I wish I could say my toes stayed dried on this walk….so romantic ❤      Advertisements

The Sea of Love

{Top: Ay Que Vintage, Shorts: Forever 21, Sandals: Marshalls,Hat: Zara} This past weekend I celebrated our eight year anniversary with my love by surprising him to a ride/picnic  on a boat.   I wanted to surprise him with something that I know he loves to do.  Riding the boat by the beach reminded me of the movie Sabrina.  Its one of my favorite movies of all time, I imagined how she seemed so happy while sining the banana song and it was the moment when Humphrey Bogart’s character truly falls in love with Audrey Hepburn’s character… call me cheesy, but maybe I wanted to build that kind of romance with my love. I got a feeling of peace and serenity as we listened to good ol’ 60’s rock music in the open sea, from The Beach Boys to The Beatles.  I loved everything about it.  I wanted to embrace and show case the open sea with my outfit with a mix of the Caribbean.

Viva Mexico

{Thrift Store white ruffled shirt, High rise shorts from TJ Maxx, Accesories Forever21 and Buffalo Exchange, Shoes Tj Maxx} Today we celebrate Cinco de Mayo, it is a celebration that is very misunderstood.  it is not time to drink up and to Mexican’s in Mexico it is not the true day celebrate the day of Mexico’s independence from France.  Mexico’s Independence is on September 16, Cinco de Mayo is the first battle Mexico won against France. I love my culture and very proud of where I was born.  I love the stories of Pancho Villa and knowing that Frida Kahlo shares my heritage is something that I am very proud of.  My outfit is a small glimpse of Frida Kahlo’s fashion, she was a true inspiration.  The bright colors, the ethnic patterns, and hair style is something I wanted to focus on I wanted it to look very similar to Frida Kahlo.
