Orange You Glad ?
Jogger Jeans, Kurt Geiger Heels, Top was bought at A Current Affair (a massive vintage sale in a warehouse in Down Town LA) There is something about man inspired outfits that makes me feel so liberated. I am not saying that dressing like a man makes me feel powerful. It is the action of not having to wear tight dresses and or revealing clothing to feel that much more confident. We are so lucky to be able to rock both male and female clothing with a kick ass attitude.
Love Affair with Lace
The word is out! Or has it been that obvious? My love for lace dresses continues. Is it trending in fashion right now? I don’t know and frankly I don’t care. Lately as you saw on the post before I’ve grown obsessed with lace and cute vintage style dresses. I am growing dangerously close to kinda sounding like a broken record when I say, this type of dresses are so chic to style. It makes me feel so comfortable and lady-like at the same time. Gents, that is not a bad combination. Currently I am looking for inspiration. I feel that I’ve grown detached to so many things that represented me. The Sea of Love
{Top: Ay Que Vintage, Shorts: Forever 21, Sandals: Marshalls,Hat: Zara} This past weekend I celebrated our eight year anniversary with my love by surprising him to a ride/picnic on a boat. I wanted to surprise him with something that I know he loves to do. Riding the boat by the beach reminded me of the movie Sabrina. Its one of my favorite movies of all time, I imagined how she seemed so happy while sining the banana song and it was the moment when Humphrey Bogart’s character truly falls in love with Audrey Hepburn’s character… call me cheesy, but maybe I wanted to build that kind of romance with my love. I got a feeling of peace and serenity as we listened to good ol’ 60’s rock music in the open sea, from The Beach Boys to The Beatles. I loved everything about it. I wanted to embrace and show case the open sea with my outfit with a mix of the Caribbean.
Singing the Summer Blues
{Romper: Forever 21, Heels: Target, Accesories: Urban Outfitters} I always have an idea of certain things that would not go with my body shape and rompers is the number one item of clothing that I have on my list of things that wouldn’t go. I have been working out for the past two months and honestly that has been my main focus. I love the feeling I get after I work out and the boost of confidence I feel when I once again fit on my Levis. This romper I never thought would have looked well on me. I felt super proud of myself. The location where I took these photographs is one of my favorite locations going up to Solvang it reminds me of The Lords of the Rings meets delicious ribs. We celebrated my cousin’s birthday in this Tavern and let me tell you I can still taste the ribs and chili to this day. Sunset with Lace
{American Apparel dress, heels purchased in Amazon, Ivanka Trump purse, Marc Jacobs watch, Thrift Store accessories} Hello everyone, Once again I find myself having a small hiatus from my blog and it is something that breaks my heart. From the end of another school year to a daily 8 to 5 job. I find myself struggling with finding time to do what I love to do. I managed to find the time I needed and enjoy the three day weekend we just had. I love enjoying the weekends as much as possible and stay away from sitting down, which is what I do at my office job. The outfit that I wore was different from the rest. I wanted to feel extra fancy this day so I put the dress that always makes me feel so lady like and ended with my dear Penny Lane by my side and witness the beautiful sunset.
Love Street
{Dress: Forever 21 Love 21, Jewelry Forever 21, Sandal: Tjmaxx, Bag: Ay Que Vintage} The Venice Canals was a place that I have been dying to see. I couldn’t help having in mind James Morrison walking through those canals and writing the best lyrics for the Doors. It was a peaceful afternoon and yes ladies and gents the dress was very comfortable. I believe in comfort in fashion, besides looking great and expressing yourself through your fashion I believe in comfort, so this dress made me very happy. I am in love with the patterns, the colors, and the way it fit like a glove. The dress is boho chic the perfect companion to my dress was the purse it reminded me of a beautiful earth stone.
