Flower Fields

A few weeks ago I took a small road trip with my love all the way to Big Sur.  It is a location that its beauty is not explainable with words.  This flower field was so peaceful it was right by the beach.  Locations like this reminds me of how lucky I am to be alive.  In a few days I will be sharing the photographs of the complete trip.  Some of them have been posted to my Instagram @Ligerlily18 You can always catch me there on my new adventures. Birthday Doll

It is finally here the big twenty-five.  As a girl in high school I would envision how I wanted my life to be.  I thought that the perfect age to do everything was at that age.  I imagined I would already have traveled, have had my degree, and be married to my high school sweat-heart.  Basically everything would fall into place when I turned the two five. Boy was I wrong! At twenty four I started realizing that it was harder than I thought and I started to work on it. Twenty-five will definitely be my best year yet! It will be full of amazing adventures, glitter, and pizzazz. It’s funny how time truly flies so fast.   I created unrealistic expectations for myself when I was younger and at twenty-five I am now seeing that if I work for what I want correctly and consistently everything WILL fall into place.   I have learned so much since I was eighteen and I know there’s is still a lot of learning to do.  I can not …

The Foggy Road

There is something about the fog that makes its surroundings so peculiar.  The morning of this shoot reminded me of the perfect setting for an Edgar Allan Poe story mysterious, but alluring at the same time.  I am so glad I had my yellow coat, with out I think I would blend in with the sea of haze.

Holiday Cheers

In two days we will all be gathered with our families to enjoy the holiday season. Can you believe it?! I am amazed at how fast time flies.  I love how winter allows us to put on layers of clothing.  We are able to mix textures, patterns, and colors all on one outfit. Let me say do not go over board with the patterns! Here is my representation of my holiday outfit in LA. Christmas in LA: there is no better place to feel the holiday cheer. All of the lights in Down town LA the music its simply perfection. Hope you all enjoy the beautiful holiday season.  I know I will I can’t wait for the tamales and champurado and of course to see my entire family. Merry Christmas to all, Follow me on IG Ligerlily18 to see my christmas adventure. XOXO

Yellow Bow

Have you ever had an item of clothing that you’ve had for long time and just can’t seem to let go? Thats what I’m going through more than ever now.  I call it deniably-hoarding. I see all my items of clothing as a treasure, like a hunter catching its “prize” I too hang my clothing in a specific way: color coordinating, texture season.  All my items have been bought from the local Forever 21 to small unknown boutiques, and my favorite Thrift stores.  Its my world, at the end I want to be able to say “I’ve Hoarded the World.”  Each single item of clothing in this outfit is 3 or more years old and my gorgeous Oxfords are the first big fashion brand that I have owned…they call him Marc Jacobs.

Fall in LA

My love hate relationship with LA continues.  I love that I am able to practically wear anything anytime of year.  The fashion rule of not wearing white is thrown out the window. Why you ask, well because its hot! White is associated with cool weather. Being a Cali girl the weather is very mysterious.  Some days are very hot and some are a bit cooler.  With that reason we can get away with being a bit rebellious and wear shorts with our Doc. Martens during fall or wearing a summer dress with closed toed heels. The Down fall of my dear Cali weather is that I can not really wear gorgeous coats while sipping on a hot pumpkin latte to keep warm or enjoy a white Christmas, but I am content it.  This gives me an excuse to travel outside of the LA area this fall/winter.

Pumpkin Patchin’

Halloween is almost here literally its tomorrow! For me honestly I have not been feeling in the spirit of halloween.  One of the main reasons is because of this semesters schedule.  Going to the pumpkin patch of course uplifted my spirit of Halloween. I love seeing all the little ones dressed up in their costumes and them just enjoying the time with their family.  One of the main reasons I look forward to Halloween is becasue I get to be extra creative as far as my costume goes.  DYI is the way to go for me, there nothing more challenging then thinking of a creative costume and disguissing myself as someone else for fun!!  I hope you all get to enjoy Halloween.  I can’t wait to snuggle on with Penny and watch Hocus Pocus with a big bowl of popcorn. Apple Picking

To kick of fall (I know I am fashionably late to the party) I wanted to embrace the changing weather by heading with my Love to Los Rios Rancho for some good ol’ apple picking.  Let me start by saying yes it is awesome to pick apples; some of my coworkers think it’s lame, but I pay no attention to the little people.  I love that I am able to get out of the city away from the routine and just enjoy the beautiful weather outside.  All the red, oranges, and yellow gorgeous colors that are starting to show paint a perfect representation of a Monet  painting.  The cherry on top of this mini road trip was having a caramel apple. I am not going to lie this will probably top my list of favorite dessert.  Last year I had this glorious dessert and this year it did not disappoint, it was actually even better.  I think it has to do with my strict meal plan, that I do through out the week.  I don’t even mind that I …

La Cuesta Encantada

{Dress: Tj Maxx, Wedges: BCBG, Hat: Forever 21} This is the trip that literally took my breath away.  I’ll start by saying this: my photographs give no justice to the beauty of this location. The view of this estate was breath taking in one corner I was able to see the Pacific Ocean on the next I was able to see the mountains.  The castle was a place where all the top celebrities would come by invitation and stay a couple of days in this beautiful location, people like Charlie Chaplin and Walt Disney were some of the guest that were privileged to be invited  to the castle.  As I was walking in the castle I was thinking of how amazing it would have been to be one of Hearst’s esteemed guests.   I dressed the part with my little white dress, you know and try to make it a little bit more special.  The dress reminded me in a way to the Roman era, one of the many themes the Castle held. My love and …

Peonies in the City

{Skirt: Forever 21, Top: Forever 21, Watch Marc Jacobs, Heels: Target, Bag: made for me by a local artist} Hi  guys it has been a while that I have spoken to you and let me just start by saying it feels good to post something new to share with you all.  I just started my last semester in College and it has definitely been a crazy schedule.  One moment I am at work  (early in the AM) and the next I am school. Its hard to keep up with everything from my friends to family.  I know that all this struggles that I am facing in life will be worth it.   I am one step closer to receiving my AA degree in business  and that is literally talking, by the end of December I will be receiving my degree. The city.  So many beautiful things to say about it.  Since i was younger I viewed Down Town Los Angeles as a hidden treasure.  Every corner brings something different.  From the Disney Hall, the art …
